What do you do when you have an emotional breakdown and realize you have completely lost yourself in motherhood?
Show Notes
So many of us lose our identities and don’t even remember the things we love to do once we become mothers. We become so wrapped up and absorbed in our roles that we lose touch with ourselves.
My guest today, Pamela Hawkes, knows all about that. From being a teen mom to having an emotional breakdown after the birth of her youngest daughter, Pamela is sharing the steps she took to regain control of her physical and mental health.
In this episode, Pamela shares:
how perfectionism impacts motherhood
why it’s important to disconnect from social media
how to avoid getting consumed by guilt and shame
how trial and error can help you rediscover the things you love so you can live your life unapologetically
About Pamela
As the voice and creator of the “Unapologetically Me” blog, Pamela Hawkes coaches and empowers women to be the best version of themselves. She provides member support as well as group lessons through her social media presence, inspired by her own personal development journey.
Pamela’s hardships have led her down a path to discover self-acceptance, self-love, and personal growth, and she has a passion for helping women embrace this for themselves. She mentors and works alongside women, teaching them how to set goals and create habits to truly show up for their lives.
When she’s not coaching, her passion lies in being a Mama to three girls, ranging in age from toddler to teenager, being a wife to her best friend and biggest cheerleader, and working as the Vice President of fundraising for the biggest homeless nonprofit in New Hampshire.
